Full coverage insurance

I know its not a very exciting topic! I am wondering how you owners of classic motorhomes have handled your insurance coverage. When i bought my 310 last fall i simply added it to our existing insurance with liability coverage only. I knew we wouldnt be using it out on the road much over the winter. Now, as we approach a new camping season i want to get full coverage on our rig and im not quite sure what to look for. Is there some type of assigned value insurance where i can determine a value along with the ins. Company for replacement value? I know the book value is much much less than the fair market or replacement value.
I would like some guidance along these lines from some of you experienced owners if you would be so kind as to share your wisdom.
Any recommendations on specific companies that deal with this?
Are there specific terms i should be using to describe this type of coverage specific to classic MOHOs when speaking with a company?
Any and all advice is appreciated!
Like i said, i realize its not a very exciting topic but necessary.

Insurance

I think an appraisal by an experienced, reliable appraisal service such as James Polk Associates in California would be a real asset in protecting your investment. Jim Polk has appraised a lot of Airstreams, aircraft, and other high value stuff.

Then, you'd have a concrete document in case you need to file a claim.

At least here in Arizona, most insurance companies won't do a "stated" or "agreed value" policy. Not sure of your state's situation.

Jim Polk can do an appraisal using photos and descriptions, remotely!

You may want to check with Progressive. They did an agreed value policy for my AS and my boat.

Progressive also offers significant discounts for Good Sam Club members. In some states, anyway; insurance is state-regulated, and even a nationwide compnay must offer different coverage depending on your domicile state. Anyway, be sure to ask about discounts that may apply, whether that's Good Sam, AARP, or whatever. If the discount is more than the membership, it would be worth joining the club just to get the discount, even if you never use the club for anything else.

Great advice folks, much appreciated., it gives me a place to start and thats what i was looking for. Thank you! Im still amazed at how the people on this forum are so willing to step up and answer questions and share your wisdom and experience. Really does make me feel like buying and owning my AS was absolutely the right decision and the people i see here on a regular basis make me feel so much more confident in delving into an area i had so little knowledge in. Kudos to you all, and its been very rewarding to me in the few cases where i have been able to share some of my acquired knowledge. Tight community for sure!

Farm & City Insurance Services wrote us a policy with Allied that has an agreed value amount. I just told them what I paid for the 310, and they used that number. Full coverage, including collision, is $314.55 per year.
