Dynamat Sound Proofing

I had to pull some of the soundproofing from the overhead (directly above the forward section of the engine) in my 2003 AS LY Gas because it was falling on top of the front section of the engine. The old stuff is trash caused by the heat of the engine. I heard Dynmat is the way to go for replacing the old stuff and also to provide extra sound supression on the dog house cover. Any comments would be appreciated.

I used a product called B-Quiet on my doghouse cover and haven't had any problems. Here's a link, B-Quiet sound deadening materials - Compare B-Quiet with Dynamat comparing B-Quiet and Dynamat. To me Dynamat was way too expensive. Hope this helps.

Went to a roofing supply...not Lowes/Depot...and found some really great stuff.
Roof Underlayment, is 3mm thick and peel off plastic on one side.
I use it for lots of sound proffing, heat barrier type jobs.
Floor board in Eldorado was first, and inclosure for generator door.
Works great and much better price.
Get the kind without granules.

I used a similiar stuff on the doghouse of my 280, sur cut down on the heat and noise. I also did the floor area all around the drivers and passenger seats.
