Jim, I did some quick searches and it appears that US Gear was bought by another company who closed down operations and no parts are available. That doesn't bode well for finding parts

I wish you good luck in your quest.

Jim

My shift module also went in my US Gear unit. The truck repair place I went too found that a winch motor relay worked in its place, however it would not interface with the shifter mounted shift buttons, so a new 3 position switch had to be installed to activate the relay. The original shifter still works, in that it will indicate what mode the transmission is in, high or low.

I will try and find the old invoice to find the part number they used.

Cheers
Tony

Hey Tony,
Thanks for the info! I did find a guy named Ed at
Rose auto clinic in Montclair CA 909-391-6521 who said he might have the right control module in order to keep the shift controller. I will keep you posted. Jim

So I got my aux transmission working. Should I leave the aux transmission in high or overdrive most of the time? Or should I keep it in low until I am on the high way?

Usually, you can feel which gear you need to be in. If the engine is "lugging", go to a lower gear, until it feels right. Check the RPM where you get your max torque, and us that gear.
