The top hinge on the door to our 83 MH appears to have the screw threads stripped out they won't tighten nor can we screw them out. Has anyone taken off a door to repair a hinge. Our door was hard to shut and dragging on the bottom latch side. We put nylon washers onder the hinge pins and that helped. can I take the panel loose on the interior wall behind the hinge and get to the area that the bolt screws into or should we try to get the screw out and regrove to the next larger screw. It appears that the door frame has been removed at some time as the rivets look like they have been smoothed with a dremil tool not the rivet shaver. We are not sure what to do to fix it.

Your answer was not what I wanted to hear, but what I expected.

I guess that we will attempt to repair soon. It is just too hot here in Texas to attempt for now.
