captains chair motorized base unit

One of my motorized bases for the front captains chairs has lost use of two to the three motors. Has anyone experienced this and what was the solution? I am having the chairs recovered and thought I would see if this situation could be taken care of.

I'm bumping this thread up in the hope that it will get noticed. I too have some issues with my power seat bases. Help?!

I had to replace both power bases in my 1984 310. Motors had failed in the old bases and the company who made them was out of business, no parts available.

Had mine replaced by an RV Interior shop. $200+ each as I recall - plus labor. The bases came with their own controls which were designed to be mounted on the seat, not the armrest as original.

One other thought. I did find a power base at an RV surplus store. Unfortunately, the control switch was missing and I didn't have time to hunt one down. Savings would have been significant ~$100 if I recall.

Jackson Center just put a single drivers chair up on eBay for a starting bid of $500. Integral seat belt and very nice. Just bolt it in and connect 12v and you're in business. You're co-pilot is however left out on this deal.
