Vintage or Aftermarket Furnace Vent

I dunno whether to post this here in the Bambi forum, or in the larger generic appliance group

My 1963 Bambi came to Alaska via Florida, and at some time in its past, the furnace was removed and the exterior hole covered with a round pop riveted patch. It seems most current furnaces have a rectangular appendage extending through the exterior skin. I’m wondering if I can put a furnace with a rectangular piece, but have a round cover/heat shield over it, to retain a vintage look.

Are the original round cover assemblies still available?

How hard would it be to fabricate one ? Any detailed pics ?

You are in Alaska so you will need a furnace! The original furnace produced so much heat that it blasts you out of the trailer. I would think you would have difficulty finding an original vent. It is a little complicated if you wanted to build on. I refurbished my furnace if you want to see pictures. They are on my blog at bambiairstream.com
