Well another Bambi brought in from behind the barn, and getting a rework !

This is a large forum, so please be patient if there is a more appropriate place to post some of my questions. Or since this is our first travel trailer, I am sure I will have a lot of basic AS101 questions as well.

The previous owner started to gut it, but lost heart. So what I have is 90% gutted already. With so much missing, a true "restoration" is out of the question. However if there is something remaining that is original equipment, it may be worth rebuilding and incorporating in the remodel, if for nothing more than for the positive Karma.

I can already see several colors of paint on the walls, as well as 4-5 different kinds of wood in the few remaining pieces of cabinetry. Wondering if I could post a series of interior pictures, and those that are more familer with the 1963 Bambi, can help me identify anything that was part of the original equipment?

1963 Bambi: Looking to the rear, the cabinetry, counter, and sink have been removed. Can anybody tell me if the Stove, frig, and shower/potty were part of the original equipment? The wood around the frig looks different than anything else in the trailer, so I suspect the frig was added at sometime, and a new insert needed to be made. However the wood shower enclosure looks like it may have been part of the original cabinetry.

How about the electric light over the stove? (the front has similar light covers, except the gold/white bands are switched)

1963 Bambi: Looking to the front, there is not much remaining. What is the large tank in front? There looks like a propane light on the roadside cabinet, that looks like it was added after-the-fact. Does this light and the electric lights look like part of the original 1963 Bambi ?

The air condintioner is not Airstream, did the original front window have the 2 small side panes?

Just behind the curtain on the left side of the photo, is a rotator for an external TV antenna. Was that installed at the factory?

The shelf over the front window was clearly added after-the-fact.

1963 Bambi: This cabinet over the street side windows, appears to be the same wood as the shower enclosure, however the cabinet doors seem to be different material.

Is that a fresh water tank in the front? Sure hope it's not a propane tank! Who'd want that inside while sleeping!

Any plan for new axles? they look caput!

Keep the propane lights. They are nostalgic to the era.
