Original bed in '61 Bambi?

Hi all - First time posting on AirForums I'm trying to figure out if the bed in my '61 Bambi is the original. Does anyone have photos or schematics of the original bed design? I'm thinking it was a gaucho bed, but that is not what is in mine now. I'd like to reconstruct the original bed design.

Isn't it a couch down the street side that flattens into a bed?

We're in Idyllwild.
The vintage rally in Newport Beach is a very good one to go to, see you there?

All 1961-63 Bambis had gaucho's that pulled out to form a double bed. None had a permanent double bed, so it that is what yours has, it has been modified. These were no option trailers to make them inexpensive to build quickly.

The actual floorplan was a couch/gaucho across the front and another one on the streetside facing the door. None originally had dinette's either, but I have seen some nice conversions to a dinette.
