hello to all from 1st time poster 16TDSS1642 which makes my unit the 42nd California Bambi off the assembily line...i bought this trialer in1985 from the agent of the original owners in Long Beach Ca. for the grand sum of $4,500 and have never spent the night in it. it's been in various storage location over the years and now on the occasion of my retirement, i'm getting it ready for the road !
and now for the bad news, after putting in it's first battery in twenty plus years, i cleaned the terminals and in the process removed a seemingly extra loop of wire on the positive connector. i was pleased to find my exhust fan running on it's new found
12 volt power. anyhow later on i dicided to pull this four prong pin connector from the trailer thinkink it was a function of the towing pocess, and the green wire on the positive battery terminal began to smoke alot, i was able to disconnect the terminal before a full blown fire...
so, anybody know what i did or how i can fix it ??? what or where dose the wire do or go??? is the wire accessiable from under the coach . any advice or info will be greatly appreiciated. thanks, gary dunn
