'63 Bambi I63T190
Another 63 Bambi has surfaced and it followed me home last week .
It's in unmolested condition, meaning it needs a good going over. Zolatone is all there and good condition. Body has minor dings but overall very good.
It will take me awile to get it out on the road but I don't think it will hurt to take my time with this one.

With half the air out of the tires it fit right into the garage.
Fridge may not be original but it fits right in the spot.

On the road to restoration, I have stripped the interior right out and fixed a small spot by the door. The rest of the floor is as strong as new. I filled the low spots and epoxied all around the edges with Repairs wood in minutes, PolyAll 2000 a great product as it soaks in and becomes hard in minutes.

As I said, half the air out of the tires and removed the vent gave me 1/2" clearance. Can't change the axle untill I get it outside again.
New flooring down and washed the zolatone. The paint is as good as new. What tough stuff!
Stopped at a friends place on the way home and they just finished this 63 Falcon. What a great puller for the Bambi.

Congrats Doug........Looking at your Bambi brings back all kinds of memories of when I restored our 62 Bambi. By the looks of your pics, it appears that your AS was made in CA. I hope you enjoy your project......I had a blast doing ours! If you would like to check it out, click on ( Images 8 ) on the left side of this page.

Wood is all refinished, kitchen is in with new plumbing, all new upolstry, resurfaced wood on the drawers and frames under beds and the first cut of polishing done and new panel on door to fix big dent there.
Held up now collecting firewood for the winter and reshingling our 2200 sq. ft. roof.

Doug great job. The new upholstery looks fantastic and of course the woodwork is tremendous ( I wouldn't expect less from a furniture refinisher). The shell is starting to look wonderful. When I first looked at the pics from when you brought it home it looked like an Argosy it was so white.
I don't envy you reshingling a roof now is cold messy work. Good luck.

I like the change out to a wood surface on the frig. It doesn't look like the "Hey, look at me, I'm the green frig over here under the stove" anymore.
I bet you could do a great job on a 1956 front kitchen!

Get it here before the snow starts and I'll put it inside. Great winter project.
