If memory serves me correctly, I have 161T150. Just 8 away from you on the production line mudseason.

1963 Bambi 163T244 made in Calif. Mostly restored...It is great to haul and I love to camp in it......just joined Airstream Club in TX where I spend the Winters.

We have a 61 Bambi - manufactured in Santa Fe Springs, CA. It is a 16TDS, S1780 built in May of 1961. We have camped in it for several years. It has some original parts and some replaced. We have never traveled anywhere with it when it did not attract attention and lots of interest.

Hi: I have a 1961 that I am in the process of restoring. The VIN is: 161T117. It is an Ohio Unit. I'm not sure how to post a photo.

I have a 1963 Bambi with vin# 16TSS1944 also has 6301. I believe it was manufactured in CA?

Hi, we have just put a deposit on a 1961 Ohio built Bambi, here in the UK. When we get our hands on it, we will post the VIN no. It is very original on the inside and outside, apart from being sensitively re-upholstered, and replacing the concertina doors with curtains.

We are thrilled at last to actually own an airstream, it's something we've been dreaming of for years.

I Just joined. I am restoring my 61 Bambi # 161T104.
I've heard it is a very early number, any older?
It sat abandoned for 30 years in my Grandad's back 40.
I'm loving seeing it return to life.

We have had 1961 Bambi 161T235 for about 10 years. We completely gutted it and redid it with matching materials as the original. We are now replacing the axle and polishing the outside.

I'm a new Airstream guy (I'll actually get the papers transferred next week.). Mine is a 1961 #161T162. I'm excited about it and looking forward to shining her up and taking her out come Spring

Just purchased a nice little Bambi. Can't wait to polish it. I think it was the 56th Calif. model produced. Can anyone tell me what the lower number is?
16TDSS 1656 261? Attached is a picture.

Congrats on your new-to-you Bambi!! The 261 represents the month and year off of the assembly line at the Santa Fe Springs, CA factory.

Hi - we found our little 1963 Bambi in South Carolina - 163t136 - we've ha d her for about 7 months - She's in great condition - just fixing some small stuff - new dump valve / upholstery etc....
