Whistle while you drive
Found this one on Facebook.
I "cleaned it up a bit"
Ingenious idea for your favorite motor head.
Note that they installed it right behind the electric fan

I remember seeing a whistle you could shove in someone's tailpipe.

Thinking in engineering mode...
For the electric fan method, I dont know if there would be enough airflow to actually get any sound through the reeds of the harmonica, It does require some cheek puffing to get sound out.
I am not sure what pressure level equates to cheek puffing?
An alternative to positioning it in the airflow of the electric fan, is mounting it in the engine air intake
Then you could play a tune depending on your throttle position
The exhaust method definitely has the pressure but it may be a bit too warm for the reeds in the harmonica to survive, but also worth a try!

This is an Aermore exhaust whistle I have on a Model T Ford. Sounds like a train whistle.

Yep that is the one. A great looking Model A if you like those "modern" cars.

Maybe someone could discuss the value or non-value of deer whistles. Was amazed that Cabellas in Missoula did not carry them. Where do you get yours? Education please. Pat

Dear whistle....
....if they really worked you'd think your Ins Co would demand them or at least give you a discount for installing them.
I had a customer that had them installed backwards on his rear view mirrors, swore by them....never hit a deer.

Bob, you mean like how the insurance company demands you install and gives you a discount for better brake pads?
Maybe that customer spent most of his time backing up. Did you ask?
Brother does not have them and keeps hitting deer. His relative swears by them and have never hit a deer. Looking for a bigger sample. Pat

Maybe a harmonica would work.

..No more like driving sober.
Anyway NYS deer are not affected by whistles in any form.....

"Little is known about the auditory limits of deer, but current knowledge indicates that deer hear approximately the same frequencies as humans, and thus if humans can't hear a sound, deer probably can't either." hehe
