Replace headlight switch 1990 345LE

Anyone have experience on best option to replace the headlight switch on the dash? Mine works but the dash illumination level (ie turning the switch to the right) is intermittent. I can see lots of options out there on the interwebs...but wonder if someone has had experience with this. My ongoing goal with all renovation and repair for this coach is it's a 40 year keeper, so I'm looking for long term reliability over budget...
