Parking Brake Cable

Hello everyone
yesterday trying to fix the brakes I realized that the emergency brake cable is badly corroded and not working. I started to search google where I can buy but there are different cables. any of you know the parts number of the cable? (My Argosy is 24 feet in 1977) a my cable measures about 2.5 meters long. is the cable running from the front to the separation and each rear wheel
thanks for the help
Herman

Hallo Herman.... here is a possibly helpful link:
77 1977 Chevrolet P30 Parking Brake Cable - Brake - Dorman, Wagner, Front, Intermediate, Rear, Rear Left, Rear Right - PartsGeek

There are some useful pictures, if you have the old cable in front of you.

Do you have this manual?
73-87chevytrucks.com/techinfo/7387CKMans//Service/ST_330_76_1976_Chevrolet_Light_Truck_Service_Overh aul_Supplement.pdf

or this one
ourgosee.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/1975-Argosy-Owners-Manual-Small.pdf

Vielen Glück!

hello Punch
thanks for the help about the link , unfortunately, do not send the parts to Germany, I have followed this issue, when I need something for my Argosy, most companies do not send to Europe, only USA
and thank for the manual

At least maybe you can find out which cable you need? Then find another supplier.

Another possibility would be to take the old cable to someone in your area who makes up cables. That would be quite easy here, but I don't know about Germany.

Thirdly, I would be happy to have them come here, then I would send them to you in Germany, but usually the cost of shipping to Canada is very high, and then cost to send to Germany would be high......

Punch through.
I'll take your idea to get someone here that you can play.
For your information, not just discriminate against sending Europe, but also Canada, Alaska, etc, would the world

Herman, if you are near to the sea or a big lake where people use power boats and yachts, then any marina with a good service department should be able to make up cables, or would know how to have it done.

Man braucht nur die Enden und die Länge.

I am sure one of us would happily take delivery of a cable and then forward it on to you. But the issue is identifying the cable. You need to know the detail of the fittings at each end, and an exact length (fitting to fitting) as there are many many different ones available; if you check out the Rockauto website for a 1977 454 P-30 you will see.

From your description, none of these are 2.5m, the closest is 87.25in or approx 2.2m

https://www.rockauto.com/catalog/mor...nid=504&jpid=3

That cable is currently $9 from RockAuto so very inexpensive....if it is the correct cable for you.
