Hi I have a 1989 370le with a Ford 460 and c6 transmission and a 5.29/1 differential, that doesn't gtive much of a highway speed. Has anyone added a gear venders overdrive, is the engine have enough power to run the coach with that much of a diffenertial ratio reduction. Thanks Malcolm Peddie

I think a gear vendors unit was offered as an option on some models.
I used one on my truck at one time but was disappointed in the life expectancy of the units. The best lasted 150K the worst only a couple thousand miles. I finally took it off at about 450K on the truck
The customer service was pretty good and that was a few years ago so they may have some of the problems worked out now
