New single exhaust for a P30 1991 250 classic

Hi all - I've got a 250 classic with Cali emissions. I'm fairly sure I'll need a new exhaust and have always fancied some of those Doug Thorley or Hedmen headers. Are they and the single exhaust a standard stock item for our Motorhomes? I'm a bit hazy on emissions and don't want to ship the wrong one over to the UK. Alternatively, I guess I could get one custom made over here. What do peeps think will work out best?

Thanks
Nick

Hi Nick.
Dual exhaust systems were the normal OEM setup for the earlier years, but I am not sure about the 90's.
The manifolds of choice should be "long tube" as they increase torque, but I have read good things about Thorley's Tri-Y too.
If you really want to be sure and have a great quality, long lasting, bolt on system, then Banks is the way to go. At a price tho!

Hi from AZ. . . you might check with Banks Engineering. We have a 'cat back' exhaust (single) system on our TV & they have been doing them well for a while. Just a thought & regards, Craig
