Smile Just Installed Flojet Waste Pump

Just finished the installation of the new 18555 Flojet waste pump. No more 10 mile trips, up route 95, to the dump when we get home from a rally. This thing really works well. It attaches to the 3" outlet and runs the waste through a 3/4" hose up to 50 feet. It only weighs 6 lbs and cost $200 at Dyer's (special sale right now www.dyersrv/.com). I wired the 12 volt cable to the back heater input circuit in my 1990 345. After emptying the tanks you can rinse them with fresh water through a hose port. I got a commercial grey hose from Harbor Freight for about $25 that is guaranteed for life. The whole unit fits in a little case with a push button on a 6 foot cord. I cut a 2" house drain pipe and installed a "Y" rubber connector to provide a hose input for dumping at home. The input connector is a female hose coupling which is capped when not in use. Make sure that their are no fittings less then 3/4" in the input line for maximum flow. It will empty the system in less than 5 minutes. I have lots of cleanout couplers, 3" fifteen foot hose supports, and 3" adaptors for sale. I will still use the regular 3" sewer hose system when I am hooked up, relatively close to a drain, in a full service Campground.

Sounds like the 12 volt Jasco Macerator which is like a mini garbage disposal, empties your tank and grinds them turd’s into 1/8 inch chunks and pumps them through a 1 inch hose. They are a nice feature to have. Remember the Harbor Freight hose warranty is for the life of the hose, (if the life of the hose is one year that’s it) not your life, even if you have your receipt 10 years from now. It sure is nice to blow your tanks at home.

Another excellent product along the lines of macerator pumps is the sewer solution.

I have used mine for 2 years now, and am very pleased with it.
It pumps the waste via a water jet, up to 30 feet with the hoses included, and up to 100 feet when 1in pvc pipe is inserted, on relatively level ground.
It, too has a provision to flush the tanks. It is much cleaner and less bulky than the 3" dump hose.
It is not in the league of an electric macerator pump, but is an excellent solution for those that don't want the expense.
