Question Gear vendors vs Us Gear

I was talking to a local RV service shop here in Seattle and they told me they stopped using the Gear Vendors Over/under drive because of the warranty service they were doing. They indicated that it was unuaslly high. The US Gear had a better track record. Any thoughts we are still thinking about this extra option. The price of them are about the same.
