Do you run with a breakaway switch? The only thing I can think of is the breakaway was engaging the BB. I had a problem with mine on the second trip out and they replaced it no charge, and issued a call tag for the dead one. Their customer service was great.

called brake buddy and they are on top of customer service. explained my problem and first question what are using the braking unit in. next question test without break away . wasnt using break away. but the trail blazer has a hump that may be the cause of the problem.
fix is to remove the 3 inch extension so that the seat can come forward and prevent the buddy from riding up the hump.
seems simple enough.
first thing was to sit the unit in the flor on the pax side and take it for a ride and see if it braked when it shouldnt. lol]

took the toad for a run with the brake buddy in the pax side . it didnt miss a beat and no extra braking.
took the three inch extension off and it fits where it cant ride up the hump. looks like brake buddy has kept track of problems.
i need to install the break away. i have a temp install at present .
i only have the braking unit in case i get stoped on a safety inspection , most states i need a braking unit but break away switch not required. my insuranse company would probably appreciate the break away. lol
