Blown Engine
We bought the 1990 36ft land yacht a 1 1/2 years ago to Winter in Fla. Driving 3000 miles each for 3 seasons and just crossed 62,000 miles and blew the fan belt and overheated the engine real bad going over the Blue Ridge Mts. I pulled the heads to find bits of rings in 5 of 8 cyclinders. Everything looks real clean inside otherwise. Looks like it had Stainless steel Head gaskets.
Questions:
How do I get it out and a new one in?
Do I have someone rebuild it or Swap it out?
Do I swap it with a used or rebuilt?
Where do I get a replacement?
We are boondocking in a truck stop in NC without a lot of funds. That's why I'm doing as much labor as I can. Hurts more being old though.
