I have a 1979 Excella and also need new air bags. (In New Mexico, though mail order is fine.) Chipmunks love to eat them...
Is there an FAQ with links to appropriate Parts Houses?

How do you know it's the bags, are you on the frame? There are other things that could
be happening.

Assuming you are referring to the rear air bags, there is a sticky thread on the topic in this forum. Go to the forum thread list, I think it is the second thread.

ixnaycraig,
Be extra careful when working under the rear while working on the airbags, airlines, valves etc. You need to put jack stands under the rear frame so that if you bump the air leveling valve, break an airline or something simliar the back end of the motorhome won't fall on you. Better to be safe than sorry .

My airbags to hold air I think the problem is the line from the pump to the bags. THe axle has space from the bump stop.

I found a cracked fitting at the check valve on my 'Silver Bullet'. A spray bottle of soapy water and body flexibility. Darn hard on a old fat man to get down into that corner where the pump is. I could see it or I could touch it, but not both.

Mine had space from the bump stop with no air in the bags, you should be able to hear the bags leaking if that is the problem, and if your line leaks bad enough as well shouldn't you be able to hear this as well?? You should have lines running in on each side of the bags, if its set up like mine.
