OK so the odometer works
I took the dash apart and I do not see a cable to the speedo
seems like its all electronic
so do I go to a dealer for the fix or a car parts store "Napa or auto zone?"
Regards
Rob

The speedometer is driven by electrical impulses from the speed sensor. If the odometer works, and the speedometer doesn't, it's probably in the cluster itself. Does your odometer use the LCD numers, or does it look like a regular odometer with the numbers that slowly turn as you drive?
Also, if it's not working, you can take the cluster to a speedometer shop, they will be able to fix it for you. If you take it to the dealer, all they will do is take it out, and take it to the speedometer shop.

All,
My Odometer is NOT digital ,NO LCD, looks like a regular odometer with the numbers that slowly turn as you drive.
Same is the speedometer, old type needle with the mph and kph
So take to a speedo shop? so what might this cost ??
I recently paid $7500.00 for a $3500.00 rear diff
so this question is a valid question and please let me know a range.
Also my trip is this Friday (family going to Wally world) so I'm going to use the GPS MPH, so anyone think that by not fixing this thing right away will cause MORE issues ?
Please all you gear heads (thats what they tell me you call yourselves) help an old guy out with this beast !!!!!

Our dog was a peek-a-poo, w3eighed in at a hefty 8 pounds, though she thought she was bigger.
Your odometer is driven by a small electric motor with a worm gear on it, and the speedometer is also electrical.
It will probably run you $300 and up to get it fixed, and the shop may tell you to get a new cluster, and they will set your mileage.
