Question 2 speed wiper switch has no low speed

Evelyn and I are leaving for South Carolina on friday. While going over the 325 for this trip I find we have only hi speed wipers. The low speed will not budge the wipers any suggestions on what might be wrong.
Thanks for your help
Ray

1 or 2 wiper motors? If it has 2 I would look at the switch first as it doesn't seem likely both motors would go out at the same time.

also if you have the two motors (as the older MHs do) you could try a cleaning of the switch with contact cleaner like you get at RadioShack, or similiar stuff.

My wiper switch (l987 A/S 345) is working - mechanic has checked and has all elements working, but on-off is sluggish - Have been told by Chevrolet that wiper switch is no longer available. If source of a replacement switch comes up in this thread, please post.

Our 325 has two motors. We are trying some contact cleaner this evening if the switch is faulty our mechanic has located a replacement. I will replace cost and brand name later.
Thanks for the help,
Ray

Winner-

It won't be an exact OEM replacement, but they have switches including delay, Cleveland Ignition .

Run a ground wire from the (or each) wiper motor to a known ground. I had a Suburban with a wiper that would go out on low speed and it turned out to be a bad ground. Hope this helps!
