1981 Excella Cruise Control Repair
I recently took my ‘81 Excella 28ft Turbo Diésel on a 1600mi road trip. The cruise control went out in the first 100mi. Any tips on where to start looking for the problem? The throttle pedal requires so much pressure to accelerate I need to fix this. My right leg was exhausted after the first day!

Is it the original cruise control or has it been replaced with an aftermarket? The first spot I would look at is your linkage. Make sure that nothing has come disconnected or cable ends broken. Mine is an aftermarket Rostra. I had some trouble with the ball chain in the linkage but got it sorted out fairly easily.
