My 28' has a label posted inside one of the closets with that info on it. Also it is possible Fred will have that on his Motorhome web site under Technical- he also has the same model as you.
Lucky man to have the banks power pack!

I actually sent Tom to this group to ask the question! I'll dig through my manuals tomorrow and see what I find. I will add it to the technical section if I find it. The technical pages kinda died along the way.

My 345 owners manual says 2,000 lbs. gvw with a 200 lbs. hitch weight is the maximum. Anything over 1,000 lbs. must have brakes to assist in stopping. The Airstream owners manual and the Chevy manual say the same thing. I imagine this is true for all the chevy P-30 units. Although I imagine the 20' units could pull more since they are 14' shorter and that much lighter.

Since you have a Banks system, you might be able to exceed that number by just a bit. Keep in mind that Banks gives you more engine power but no additional braking power.

Are any of you motorhome guys towing a dinghy? We opted not to so far, thinking most of the places we are going to stay, we wouldn't need it. It has worked out ..but ya never know.
Taking bikes this next trip to Mystic and Topsail Hill.

Tow Dolly

We have a 345 Turbo Diesel and with it we tow a Ford Explorer on a Demco Tow Dolly with surge brakes. Our hitch has been strengthened to handle the weight by extenting it almost to the rear axle and welding to each frame member. I don't even know the vehicle is there most of the time.

Try the Airstream Technical hot line for your axle weight ratings and tow rating.

Hot line phone is

this is a voice mail system and they request you leave the following information on the first call
1. Name
2. day time phone number
3. trailer or motorhome
