Here's one for you electricians. My Atwood Hydro Flame thermostat has failed - - it will not shut off. It's rating (according to the label inside) is AMP 0.2 - 1.0. A replacement I have, not an Atwood, has a heat anticipator adjustable from 0.15 to 1.2 amps. Both thermostats have have a simple two wire connection. Will the replacement work, safely?
The new stat cover the range of the old one so thee should not be a problem. Just set the new stat to the same antisapator amp setting of the old one as a starter and adjust if needed.

And if you decide you want a newer electronic digital thermostat, just buy one which has a replaceable battery in it, they use an internal relay to control the furnace and will work very well.
