Selling 2020 Globetrotter

We are selling our Globetrotter. But I’m concerned that we are receiving so few inquiries. We think it is competitively priced at 98,500. It has “the works” including solar. Two trips, very low mileage. Great condition. Are there fewer people interested, in a ready to go AS? Is it the time of year? Is it overpriced? Your honest thoughts would be appreciated. Thank you.

Selling

Hi there! I lived in the Camillus / Skaneateles NY area most my life. Florida boy now. I am a ADK 46R climber them High Peaks finished in 1985 when life was more simple it now seems. Anyway-

It will sell you may have to use Airstream Marketplace and several sites. Pay for the premium showing and take lots of pictures.

You are now fighting on the sell side

1: Finance Rates going up ( unless they have cash )
2: Fuel Prices INSANE! and getting worse.
3: Overcrowded National Parks

In your favor:

1: You have a beautiful trailer that is available now
2: Market is still short on inventory
3: This Fuel will slow down the crowds.

We sold ours made enough to pay it off and recover some of the upgrades.

We were told by our Dealer that an Airstream is worth the least the first 3 years of ownership.

Very kind of you to send a thoughtful reply. Great information.
our asking price is $87,500, which seems very reasonable. The rig is in excellent condition.
Just too big for our new kind of travel.
Thank you very much.

Just a thought

When we sold our 2004 28' Classic several years ago we used our local Airstream Dealer. They charged a set % fee, took care of all the advertising. Dealing with people, etc. When we bought the (new to us) "Coach" we knew we were paying a mark-up but felt safer. Cold calling and face to face negotiation are not always fun. With the market shortage for Airstream Dealer's they might like to have something on there lot that they can actually sale. Especially one that new.

This seems like a very reasonable price, which leads me to think that perhaps using a dealer might net enough more for you to get your price and the dealer to make some money too.

Not sure how it works at Colonial...whether they buy used to re-sell, or take in on consignment. That's who I'd talk to, though.

Also, wondering if a trade in for a smaller Airstream might work for your desire to have something smaller...

Thanks for all your suggestions and encouragement. We sold it this morning, about a week after advertising it. So sad to see it pulling out of the driveway, but expect we will be owners again.

Good for you guys!

Just don't do what we did like when one dog dies going out and getting another puppy right away. We did and are regretting that new trailer with $6.00 fuel storage went up 25% Insurance etc etc etc etc. It will most likely become a camp up in ABay NY
