Help ! hello! Having a new problem with my generator starts and runs for about 15 minutes and quits ,if I try to restart again it won't start maybe next day or when is cool off , anybody had similar situation ? Thanks

Try this forum, Smokstak Onan. Include model and serial #. This site is a bunch of Onan hobbyists and technicians. Your current problem may be fuel or spark related, it may not be getting proper cooling, it may have a defective low oil pressure cutout switch, a high temp switch problem, some models must produce proper AC output to run. If low on oil, genset will not run. Depending on which model you have, these small 1800 rpm Onan gensets are some of the best ever made. They respond really well to a tune up, points,plugs, condenser, plug wires, air filter and oil change, make sure the brushes on the generator end are making good contact with the commutator and slide freely in the brush holders. If this is an older genset, as I suspect it is, Cummins, who bought Onan and changed the name, does not provide much support for them anymore. They may have parts, but unless you can luckily find an older technician who is familiar with these units, they may not know much about fixing and adjusting this unit.
