Hello all. I was wondering if you could share URL's to the websites your using to get parts for your rigs. Or is there a supplier list somewhere on the forums? This is our first Airstream and she needs some TLC.

Hi Beltran-
Congrats on your new '88 345! She looks really nice. I have an "88 as well and they're great. I would suggest you move this thread under Classic motorhomes where all the Classic owners with a ton of knowledge hang out. I've ordered some things from airstreamsupply.com which I guess is now highsky rv parts:

https://highskyrvparts.com/new-airst...torhome?page=1

I know there are more. Anyways, there is a lot of help out here - just ask for it.

Hi Beltran,

Welcome! I'm new to the community as well. As a result, others may be able to offer better insight. My wife and I bought a 1985 345 recently. The information available here is great, and the people are better.

What I've learned so far is all these old coach's need TLC (we all have a repair list), and unexpected events are part of the adventure.

I found this posting helpful with things to fix and it discusses others potential issues I hadn't even thought about.

Regarding where to get parts, my experience is - it depends on the part. Although I had heard of them, I finally checked out Camping World's website yesterday. They appear to have quite a few choices for the "house" part of the motorhome. Parts for the P30 chassis is a different matter.

I recommend, if you haven't already, getting familiar with and/or finding a good P30 chassis mechanic. These machines are expensive to tow. You want the chassis to be as reliable as you can (afford to) make it.

Looks like you're missing a windshield wiper arm. We needed washer nozzles and found them here https://www.tacbusparts.com/Other-It.../Spray-Nozzles. They offer arms too, but I don't know which would fit your year. The arms in our 345 are made by Trico.

On the topic of towing, my AAA premier RV card has paid for itself for the next 10 years!

I stay away from camping world. Everything is actually twice the price unless you sign up for good sam, at which point it's still no deal, and they sell your information so you start getting massive amounts of spam.

Plus they sold the PO of my rig a tow light cable that I had to repair before I could even get out of his driveway.

Thank you

Thanks for your comments and links. I have a lot of reading to do. And we have a pretty long list so far, of things to work on.

I fully expected that when I bought it.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Airstream!!!! Two really good sources for Airstream related parts is Out of Doors Mart in Colfax, NC (outofdoorsmart.com) and Inland RV (inlandrv.com) in CA.

Another source for vintage parts is Vintage Airstream (vintageairstream.com)

Hope this helps! Looking forward to seeing you down the road!!

Unfortunately inland changed owners and is having issues. Everything in my order was supposed to be in stock, but after a month of being ignored by them multiple times, the only way I finally got attention was by reversing the charges with my credit card company. Then they shipped half my order and finally called me.

A quick search you'll see everyone having the same issues, they don't ship your order for months, don't pick up the phone, don't reply to email, don't fix issues they get wrong... Hopefully they get it figured out eventually

Thanks Magnet! That is good information to know. I usually use Out of Doors Mart since they are closer and very helpful.
