Murals

Has anyone ever painted a mural on their AS MH Just curious the 83 310 has that long blank area between the door and the back wrap around window. Someone suggested that to us but it would wreck the integrity of the AS I would think

Painting a mural on the side of an Airstream coach is OK. Airstream put a mural on that says "American Legend." The mural is not the problem. The plasticoat is the real problem. Since we all know that plasticoat lasts 3 to 4 years, I would not paint a mural on something that has a limited life. If you want to paint a mural, I would suggest that you strip that panel or the entire coach. The metal area that will be used for the mural, must be sanded, primed and then painted. If you paint on top of the plasticoat, it will come off in short order. It will also, depending on the paint used, crack and crinkle the plasticoat. Murals look great on Airstream products. Applying them properly, is the hardest part. Andy

Yes, like a mural of an Airstream MH, real cool!
I saw one on the web with a giant phoenix in that place. Very personalized and permanent.
