Motorhome Mechanix

A Òcar magazineÓ Ñ for motorhome enthusiasts!

Do you remember your first car? If you do, then you also probably remember the magazines you began subscribing to soon afterward. The magazines that taught you how to fix that less-than-pristine set of wheels in your driveway Ñ and later, how to modify it. Car magazines are as much a part of our youthful automotive culture as double dates and the Senior Prom.

But where does a ÒgearheadÓ turn when he (or she) does grow up? When the key that used to fit a Ô70 Chevelle now slides into the ignition switch of a vintage motorhome? Priorities may change Ñ but passions rarely do. Yet while there are literally dozens of magazines available to walk enthusiasts through repairs of just about any automobile ever built, there hasnÕt been a single publication dedicated to the Ònuts and boltsÓ of the RV industry. Until now.

MOTORHOME MECHANIX is the only publication created for the Òhands-onÓ RV enthusiast Ñ and the only magazine appealing to every owner of a vintage RV regardless of the make or model! Granted, the magazine isnÕt geared to a single marquee Ñ but neither were those Òcar magazinesÓ of your youth, either. And it really didnÕt matter, did it? You may have had Ford Blue running through your veins, but you still read all those Chevy and Mopar suspension rebuilds and interior alterations with interest. You understood Ñ as did enthusiasts before you Ñ that you could pick up tips for building your car simply by watching, reading and applying everything youÕd learned.

MOTORHOME MECHANIX functions the same way. Like those car magazines, it is primarily technical in nature Ñ but it doesnÕt matter if weÕre using an Airstream or a Bounder to demonstrate specific repairs: if your refrigerator isnÕt chillinÕ or your furnace isnÕt heatinÕ, it doesnÕt matter what name is on the outside of the coach. Sure, there are differences between manufacturers Ñ but there are even more similarities.

What else can you expect? Custom coach features, for one Ñ but even here, we will approach it from the standpoint of Òhow did they do that?Ó WeÕll interview the owner, the builder, even the parts manufacturers Ñ because before you attempt a similar exercise, youÕll want every question answered! PLUS, Airstream owners can expect to see AIRSTREAMS in each and every issue -- guaranteed!
