Larger - Liesure Travel Van, Tiffin Wayfarer, Winnebago View ??

We love our Airstream Interstate Ext GT. But we are thinking something a little bit bigger might be better. We're considering Unity Leisure Travel Van, Tiffin Wayfarer and Winnebago View. In view of all the bad "press" the Airstream Atlas has gotten, I don't think we want to take a chance on it.

Anyone have any thoughts on the above mentioned rigs? Would be interested in your thoughts and opinions.

Thanks,
JosieNurse

Have you checked out the user groups for each of those models?

Considering many of the Atlas issues are platform related, changing to another brand that uses the same platform is just going to have the same problems.

Hi

I would very much agree that unless you are comparing user forum to user forum (and both are moderated the same way .... a big if ...) it's hard to evaluate just what issues this or that model / brand is having or has had. This is in no way specific to the Atlas. It applies to a wide range of big ticket items.

What's always interesting on this stuff is that most folks don't have problems worth complaining about. If you ask somebody who owned brand X and has a problem with brand Y, chances are they didn't have a problem with brand X. That's just statistics ...

To me, a bigger question would be is " a little bit bigger " enough to make a difference? If so what areas of "bigger" matter to you? The Atlas has a nice big shower and bath. Is that what matters to *you*? If so, great, if not ... move on. As far as AS is concerned, that's the last step up in vans.

There's a lot of "range" between the Interstate and a full up Class A. That's true in terms of size and in terms of price. Lots and lots of twists and turns as you navigate all of the options.

Leisure Travel

We went from interstate to Leiaure Travel Unity MB and found it or be a wonderful B+. No problems at all. It was on the new Sprinter chassis which has had some recalls but no issues. Quiet, no rattles and great driving versus old chassis. Upgraded because of big bathroom and bed you could keep made. Also looks close to Atlas and had three way refrig which was important for how it is used.

Ours is a 2017 FCFBT. We frequently camp with friends who own a Liesure Van Unity.

They love the rig, but find the interior small on rainy days- so we party in the Trailer on those days.

I am impressed with the quality of the rig. This would be my first choice if moving away from a travel trailer.

Search for the names in Facebook, something will probably come up.

The Sprintersource forums have Leisure Travel and Winnebago View forums, no Tiffin yet.

The Leisure Vans get good reviews and you will likely be very happy with it. However, when we looked at B/B+ vans, we did not see what we wanted - an upgrade in space from our 23FB. It's all about you and what you want. Our solution after two years of soul searching was a Class A Tiffin Allegro Breeze 33BR (34ft long). The Breeze is the down sized coach (8ft wide & 12ft tall) that Bob Tiffin developed to be easier for his wife and other folks to drive. Pat

The "Currently Looking" is because there is not an "SOB" choice.

These IRV2 links might help in your search for Leisure Travel Vans https://www.google.com/search?q=leis...earch=irv2.com

Hi

This forum is AS centric, you won't find a sub forum for other brands here. Indeed, simply finding a "real" forum for some other brands is not at all easy. In many cases this or that "brand" does not really sell enough a year to support a full blown group / forum. ( Think of how much smaller the MH section of this forum is ....). Without that, there really isn't a lot to use to do an A to B comparison of a group of folks.

Try IRV2.Com. They have lots of sub-forums for different brands/styles
