Interstate A/C on Genny Problem

I am new to this forum and apologize if this problem has been addressed elsewhere, but, for the first time on my 2014 interstate I tried to run the A/C off the generator. I waited for both beeps and then started the A/C . It came on, blowing nice and cold compressor fully engaged settled in showing 14 amps total draw on the panel, but after about two minutes the draw rapidly went up to 21 amps and the A/C shut down . Tried several times with the same results. In SC, no cold air equals no fun. Any suggestions on where to start?

Several of us have experienced the same thing when it is really hot/humid outside, like above 90F. Only thing I can suggest is to turn off all the 120VAC breakers except the Main and A/C and see if that works.

Otherwise your unit may need to be serviced.
