hydraulic leveling system

Hi all,
getting ready to leave for another journey and need some more info. What fluid do I use for my hydraulic leveling jacks and how do I know how much to add. The PO showed me the reservoir at the front of the engine compartment, but I can't find anything in my manual and he has stopped responding to me!
Bon Voyage! We are off to where heaters are not a major concern!

Mine uses auto transmission fluid.

The tank on my 310 is located under the driver side wheel well
on the back side of the riser that the seats are mounted to. The control levers are mounted on the floor between the Drivers seat and the side wall of the cab area. and it uses auto trans fluid as
well. I guess you could also use power steering fluid or power
trim fluid it's all about the same but I wouldn't mix em all up.

One manual for the A&E Systems Levlers on my unit says: "RECOMMENDED TYPE OF HYDRAULIC FLUID
SAE 5W or 10 W non-detergent motor oil
SAE 5W light hydraulic oil
Type A or Type B Transmission fluid.
NEVER use brake fluid or hydraulic jack fluid"

I agree with the prior post about not mixing -- so then the question for me becomes how to figure out what's in there now.

Tranny fluid is red, motor oil and hydraulic are brown/gold. Hydraulic oil has a different smell than motor oil and probably a thinner consistency.
