You are absolutely right. When I plugged in to power - all was right.
I am absolutely shocked by this fact !! How do people who are "boondocking" cook in the oven ??? Would it run with the generator ?
I just don't understand how this oven is worth having if it always has to be plugged in.

The microwave pulls a *lot* of power. Running it on batteries would take a *lot* of batteries. With stock batteries, you could easily pull them down far enough cooking dinner that the furnace would fail before morning.
Simple answer - this is why they put generators on motor homes ....
