Contour oven - no power???

The Contour RV 1000 oven in our 2017 Interstate seems to be “dead”
No power. No lights coming on. Really weird. Was working fine Last night. Owner Manuel worthless and no help. Only thing it says is make sure it is plugged in! But WHERE. I CAN SEE NO PLUG that works the oven.
Anyone have any idea what could be wrong and how to fix it?.

Check your 120v / 20A breaker in your power center. Probably tripped.

Your GT needs to be plugged into external power, then if that does work then you need to check your breakers

Hi

The microwave is plugged into a socket behind the unit. You pull a couple of screws on the face plate, the unit slides out. Once it is out a bit you can see if the plug has fallen out of the socket.

Thank everyone for your help and info. Being a 'newby' there is so much I don't know or understand.
The biggest shock to me was that the oven must be connected to shore power to work?
You are absolutely right. When I plugged in to power - all was right.

I am absolutely shocked by this fact !! How do people who are "boondocking" cook in the oven ??? Would it run with the generator ?

I just don't understand how this oven is worth having if it always has to be plugged in.

But, Thanks again for your help and info.

Hi

The microwave pulls a *lot* of power. Running it on batteries would take a *lot* of batteries. With stock batteries, you could easily pull them down far enough cooking dinner that the furnace would fail before morning.

Simple answer - this is why they put generators on motor homes ....
