I have a 1994 Airstream B-Van. My question is this:
My tires are going are in good condition (Michelen) but i frequently have flat tires - mostly the rear tires.......AND it's usually not because of a bad tire, BUT BECAUSE of the valve stems going bad.................so what is the problem..........I also have Pressure Pro TMS to alert me of a tire going flat.......I have my tires et at the proper amount of air ............60 psi front and 80 psi back tires.
Could this be a weight issue? I cannot figure out why this is happening....
Thank you for any possible answers...........Roger

Most likely it's caused by having TPMS sensors on rubber valve stems. The extra weight of the sensor on the end of the stem causes the valve stem to wobble and leak.
Replace your valve stems with all-metal ones and the problem should go away.

I thought getting old would take longer!
I forgot to say that I have had the rubber stems replaced with steel, but same problem.......I'm thinking that it's either a weight issue of the van in the back OR
the rear tires are exceeding the psi of 80 rolling down the highway......
Metal valve stems, if not installed correctly, can leak air... this is the issue that I am having with one...
I now need to remove it, replace the rubber seals, and install them back with the correct torque settings (40lb-in i think, need to check before I tackle this)...
The hole/surface where the valves are inserted into, needs to be in good shape of the seals work...
