Gen.
Thanks For the reply,
The Gen is stable, no problem, but the converter doesn't like it(the gen.) till it has supplied current for a couple of minutes to something else.
the Gen isn't hunting (rpm's) ,the voltage is steady at 130V.,
(I set it a bit higher so I can maintain 120V. at full load,( 20A.)
The converter has a built it Batt. charger, the input amps are about 2-3 amps just maintaining the batt. and increases slightly depending on how much you ask of it up to max of 40A.@ 14V.output
If you activate the charger from "shore power" no problem,
it also performs correctly if you load the generator first, then keep the load applied, OR unload it, then swirch the converter on.
The converter will Buzz(what I call a 60 cycle buzz and or hum and it will pull almost 10-12 amp on the primary side.
it will slowly quiet down and act normal after a minute or so,
It is un nerving tho, that it pulls so many amps till it settles down.
maybe I will pull it out and peek inside and see what it is doing
it almost sounds like a relay is chattering or a diode is shorting and I'm getting ac to the battery charge circuit.
