Welcome! We picked ours up 2 weeks ago and have it in the driveway checking things out. Relatively minor issues so far!

Problems. I posted on my blog.
I have a new 2020 Atlas which I never used in 2020 due to the pandemic.
This year as I prepared for a big trip, my fridge broke down.
What I discovered was that despite the Airstream reputation, despite the high cost for luxury, that Airstream does not keep a supply of fridges on hand for such failures.
I have to wait months to get a replacement even if I went to Jackson.
Bad planning on the part of Airstream.

Why would they want to keep a replacement refrigerator in stock ??? You already bought your motor home......you’ll just have to wait ! ........making money by mistake, again. Regards, Bob

During this pandemic many of the parts that Airstream and other RV companies depend on are not up to full production. It is unfortunate, but it is the world we are living in today.

Brand new Airstream Atlas fridge not working

We called and made arrangements with Mike Varno at Airstream to authorize my nearby dealer, Colonial Airstream to get a fridge....this process will not be immediate however. We have been traveling with two coolers, which is hilarious since this is a new Airstream.

My b brief experience with an Atlas

Hi all...Shgould be a nearly perfect RV, shouldn't it...well we bought a 2020 Atlas last October, drove it from MA to Florida and sold it ten days later! Enough of that! The bed was too small, the satellite was miswired, hooking up sewage and water in the mud is no fun (why not put the hookups at waist level instead of groveling under a panel? The tables are too small, so is the kitchen counter. I built a slipover 16 x 30 table top that greatly improved that issue...the controls system is a hoot...panels and controls everywhere...insrtead of being concentrated in a panel (like oil a boat) in the wire chase next to the door...The only compartment without a light is the one with the Genset controls, etc...idiocy.

In any wind, the thing sways uncomfortably making driving a tense experience. Access to the tire valves...be sure you add extenders for the side rears or you'll never get air to them. The TV lift stuck (up). The tint tables are simply stored loose under the couch...nice thing about the couch is it is at least long enough to stretch out on...the panel in the rear tall compartment is not a work of art, cheap build and slips easily...why not on a hinge with a latch? The propane valve switch is beside the water connection, outside, next to the ground...why not in the kitchen like on a boat? Where is the propane sensor?

Our roof leaked... dripped right down through the speakers...how's that for brand new uni-seal? The seal around the sk
ylight was faulty... the screen door is flimsy.

Maybe Airstream will read this...I have a list of 36 items including these that need to be addressed... I expected way more ofor $240K. Enjoy

Talking

After years of ignoring "poor QC" feedback . . . that question is easy to answer IMO.

Welcome - we've had a 2020 for exactly a year and love it. Minor issues, but not any different from a new car or a new house! Check out the Facebook private group for Airstream Atlas owners only - lots of good info, tips, etc.

In response…it has only been 6 weeks without a working fridge in our Airstream Atlas 2020.
Ow I have heard that it may be another 4+ more months before a new fridge is available to replace my broken fridge.
I wonder if I can fit in the $150 from Best Buy in the slot.
Meanwhile now I discovered the stabililizing jacks won’t extend down so I can’t put out my slide out.
I could have saved money with the competition.

Jacks Not extending

On the Atlas Jacks - my stabilizer got jammed a bit on one side - so while I had someone in the camper who pushed the extend button - I used a large screwdriver and the stuck one came loose. I then lubricated everything with some spray lubricant and have had no issues since then.

You can also use a socket on the end to loosen it up( I think it's a 3/4") then lubricate with dry lube like Boeshield T-9.

All the things the dealer should have done and is paid to do during a “Pre-Delivery “ inspection......again, making money by mistake. If people were not in such a hurry to leave the dealership with their new $245,000.00 class B postage truck and go over the operating systems half of these stories we wouldn’t see. Regards, Bob
