Advice on updating Fusion Infotainment ksoftware

We just bought a 2017 Airstream Interstate GT that has the Fusion Infotainment software RV-IN801, Hardware version: V3 and software versions: 2.80.
RV Parks vs: 2016.20. RV Services: 2016.20. VIM Version: 2.50.
Audio version: 2.00 (American-English. Text version 2.80 (American-English)

I want to update my Fusion software. There are several things that don’t seem right that I believe would be improved with updated software.

I have read that some have experienced big problems with this.
I’m hoping you can give me advice on what I need to do make this go smoothly.
And maybe even what not to do that caused problems for you.

Try using the search function, there are several posts already about this.

What I did was just update the fusion version first, then do the map updates.
