Exclamation '84-'85 345 advisory

While fixing my rear bed support, I noticed that a screw was wearing a hole in the side of my white water tank. The screw was from the generator automatic interrupt box in the left rear compartment.

My advice is to check your set-up and make sure the screw is not damaging your tank.

I am assuming that the interrupt box was a factory install. I'd be interested in knowing if anyone else had this situation.

Here's a photo that might help explain the situation. There is a partition between the compartment and the tank. It's that partition that the transfer box was screwed to.

From our '73 Argosy 24 we pulled the white water tank to discover the frame itself has nearly warn through the tank wall. The floor below had deteriorated that much so that friction was able to wear and it looks like actually melt the tank wall. Tank does not leak (yet), and, of course, we'll replace the floor under the tank and gaucho. Must we replace the tank or is it safe to use now that the wear is stopped? Thanks for your opinion.
