'82 310 MH worth?

The owner of the camp ground I just moved too has a 1982 Motorhome that sold in 1984. It is a 310 model, with the 454 Chasis, onan generator and in nice condition, with ~ 72 miles on it. He wants to sell it. What is worth? He wants $27,000. It is located in Hubert, NC. everything works to my knowledge.

Let me know.

Rob

That's seems steep to me--top dollar. Here's a couple for comparison sake:

1983 Excella for $21,000 with a diesel:

1982 for $15,000 gas, polished exterior, apparently needs int restoration:

I'd shop around.

27000 would put it on the high side unless it was awfully special. The 20-22000 range is more common, though lots of extras like Banks Power Pack, true low miles, extra clean interior, engine options, etc etc would contribute to a higher figure.

seems pricey to me too. I looked at very clean, garaged 310 with a banks system in FL last year. Everything worked and it had about 50K miles on it. They were asking 23K. I think they sold it for close to that.

Three things......

Condition,
Condition,
rear bedroom configuration

MOST of the 310's have the rear twins. Some have the dinette/king combo and others have the walk around queen. The non-twin configurations tend to add to the value.

The other rare item in the 310's is the front dinette across from the sofa (as opposed to chairs and a table). The dinette can break down into a small bed for a young'un.

Notice alot of these have freshly rebuilt gas engines! An important factor as I'm sure you don't want to have to pay for that shortly after paying a bunch of money for one of these.

This one looks pretty good. Might wanna hurry before I jump on it m'self! Just kidding. But are those original Airstream chairs in the pic or are they chairs for a boat deck?

82 for $12,000 - probably needs MAJOR mechanic work.
An old ad but good for comparison:
