20202 Bambi: Nova Kool Refri. on 12V DC

I would like get clarification on what I was told by dealer and Airstream Support in JC. I recently purchased a 2020 Bambi 20fb. I was told the Nova Kool Refri. only runs on 12v DC and not on Shore Power when plugged into 110 outlet. Manual says the nova kool is 12v dc/AC. I was told 2020 Bambi models were wired for things like lights, radio, and refri (nova kool) to run only on 12v DC.
Just seems to me the nova kool should accept either 12v DC and AC. Comments? thanks much

When you are plugged into shore power, the converter provides 12vdc to the refrigerator. There are Nova Cool units that are 12vdc/120vac but they simply convert the a/c power internally.
