Temp grey tank solution 1962 Globetrotter
As all of you know the 62 GT did not come equipped with a grey water storage tank. I resolved this problem for less than $10.00 in materials. In the clothes closet the the drain pipe from the sink enters and makes a 90 degree turn to exit the bottom of the trailer. I cut the drain pipe above the floor and installed an rv drain valve. I cut the 90 degree elbow and installed a "t" . I next ran a drain pipe from the "t" around the back of the closet to the vent pipe for the black water storage tank (on a downward slope". I installed a "t" connecting the drain pipe to the black water vent.
When camping without sewer hookup, we close the new drain valve. Water from the kitchen sink will backup and flow into the black water tank. When we are hooked up to the sewer we open the new drain valve and everything works as before. You have to remember to wash your hands and brush your teeth at the kitchen sink.
