Wish I could help out, Scott. Mine is not original, I believe it's a 70s-era one that Terry used as a replacement when the original died. But I'm certainly keeping an eye out for you.

Also, I see you're still looking for a rear heat register, do you have any pics and dimensions for it? I didn't re-use mine since I don't need a furnace down here, but I'm not sure if our trailers had the same size register back there.

If those folks in Newcastle can get it to Ardmore I will drive up and get it. Then I can take it to the Restoration Rally in ABQ...for a transfer to someone headed to Calif.

Shakin' the bush here, boss!

Does this one look like what you're after? It's nowhere near me, but there are members in that part of the Province (Western Ontario)...

Wow, an abandoned airstream, that wouldn't happen around here. The woods and fields are quickly being scrubbed of them for restoration, parts etc.

Thanks for checking, I'm pretty sure that is a magic chef range like I have, just without the glass, which makes it 22" tall and roughly the same wide. I'm basing that off that I think the trailer is a 64, which is what I got the other one out of. besides the different size, the controls are at an angle instead of flat, and it has the little retangular badge on the control panel, which I think says magic chef.

If it were closer I know several people that would be foaming at the mouth to pull that out of the woods!

Thanks!

Thanks for looking everyone, when you say Boss, I gather you're talking to Megan not me!

Thanks Marcus on the stove. I'll take a photo of the one vent cover I have and post it.

Aage, thanks that seems to be the same size as the magic chef I have. I guess the Tappan range was another of those 1963 only things, wasn't used in 62, and the magic chef seems to be the one used in every 64 I've seen.

Melody Ranch, I heard from the Newcastle people via email this morning, still no pics or confrimed he'll ship. I did figure out if he can get it to a packing storeI can ship it for around a $100 here, which I'd gladly do just to get it. I'm hoping he'll send some more pics today, he seems real busy.

Brad, Frank, thanks for keeping the feelers out there too, I figure someone will run across one eventually, I just don't want to do any more construction on the kitchen until its in place!

Hmmmm, take a look at my profile pictures. I think this one is the one you need. The bad news is that I'm about as far from you as I can get! Shipping may be prohibitive. And I can't confirm the measurements because the trailer is over three hours away from me (its at Colin Hydes Restorations awaiting its turn) and also its condition is questionable. Colin could answer that better. If it is, I'd be more than happy to trade with the MC as you'd suggested in your blog....... I'm reworking my cabinets anyway and as I have an Overlander theres plenty of space. Ill see if I can dig up other pictures.

Wow! That would be cool! It is in fact the correct stove. I did some checking, I think with a prepaid fedex label, shipping each way is about 80 bucks for a 100lb box. I would need to find out for sure on that. I looked at the picture, it looks in reasonably good shape.

When will you have access to the trailer again as far as being able to ship? This magic chef is in amazingly good condition, even has the original broiler pan.

Thanks for the offer and let me know how best to proceed. I imagine I could ship the magic chef out there to you and then have you simply swap the units in the same box, package it back up and tape a label on it and drop it off.

Thanks! I'm excited!

vent

here's the vent Marcus that I'm missing. If push comes to shove I figure I can get a hot rodder to make me one but keep hoping one will show up on ebay or something.

by the way, the vent is sitting on the goucho cushion Megan just finished. She's got the goucho done, and the base parts of the dinette, just has the backs to do on it, then she's on to curtains...

Ok How about you check on shipping and I'll try to figure out the logistics! I'm planning on towing the trailer to my sisters (she's "2vets" here on the forum) in vermont in a couple of weeks to strip it and send it back to Colin. How patient are you?
