Welcome to the club!

I installed a Fan-Tastic vent on my Bambi II and love it! Customer service has become difficult with them, so I opted to install a Maxxair vent on my 1961 TradeWind.

I do like the air movement of the Fan-Tastic fan better.

You can install any standard 14" x 14" roof vent to replace your original.

We have Fan-Tastic in our 66 and MaxxAir in our 55. What I like about the Maxx is you can close the lid and run the blades like a typical ceiling fan. That keeps air moving in the trailer.

MaxxAir Deluxe for us - best part is the rain cover is integral into the unit and when the fan is off the whole thing sits close to the roof. There is no need to worry about running it in the rain.

X2 with Richards suggestion. You will have to square the corners on the outside and inside skin, using tin snips, but other than that it should be straight forward! Some people cut wood pieces and put them between the skins to strengthen the mount, but I never have, and I have installed over 20 Maxxair fans for myself and friends. One thing, check to make sure you have clearance behind the opening as the 7500k fans extend about 12 inches behind the opening. They are 23" in length total.

I did this - putting the wood between the inner and outer skins really helped the flange sit tight against the roof and make a good seal.

I switched to the MaxxAir Deluxe on my motorhome and installed them on my Airstream immediately.

I have a 2015 model year 25' with single A/C (dual fans) and I replaced both with MaxxAir model 5100 (manual crank open). Very straightforward, but be careful about the sealant you use, don't just get garden variety silicone caulk at Home Depot. Lot of threads on the forum about what to use, as I recall I used some Dicor, and I also used some SikaFlex 221. I thought the hardest part of the job is having the dexterity and nimbleness to move around on the curved roof without causing any extra damage ... I did not have to do any aluminum cutting/trimming, the original factory opening was good, but I did have to drill a couple holes for the mounting screws to secure the perimeter flange of the new fans.

I believe trimming the aluminum is not a thing for trailers that were made in this century. I know it is needed for a 1988.
