End Caps Mystery

I see that end caps are available for 1969 and up (maybe as old as 66).....I am wondering if End Caps are the same for all models manufactured in the same year? for instance, does the End Caps of a 1965 Tradewind, Overlander etc., fit a 1965 Caravel?
I will need two segments eventually and want to know if I can look for other models of the same year

If you find a donor trailer, 1965 thru 1968 exterior "five-panel" endcap segments are interchangeable, number to number. The rivet holes and panel edges of used segments may not align.

I have spoken to "Inland" on the phone, who offers an Airstream Factory produced universal segment of unspecified grade that is oversize, "one size fits all", exclusive to the narrow body five panel trailers. About $400 ea.

The latest version of Harbor Freight's English wheel, $225 with coupon, is more than adequate to iron out mild damage. There are encouraging threads on this Forum using the English Wheel. Visit the youtubes as well. It's not rocket science.

Is this accurate? I have looked and I did not see any listing for a segment pre-69?....But I will give them a call and ask. Thanks for the tip

You also need to consider shipping costs which can get high for an endcap segment.
