Caravel Info

I am working on my Caravel and want to know a little more about my trailer. The trailer sold from State Trailer Sales in Girard, Ohio. Serial # is J0175725. It has PA license plates on it, TC-65177 and it was last registered in 1984 with these plates. It's WBCCI # is 20249. What can be told on the serial number? Does anyone know about this dealer, are they still in business? It has a 1966 International sticker on the door, kind of neat. Hope to hear something back.

Thanks,

Rob

I don't know if the dealer is still around or not but:
JO = Jackson Center Ohio
17 = length
5 = model year (1965)
725 = production sequence number

Anyone have any info on or source for a hammock that would hang in our 65 Caravel?

I have one but I have no idea where you can find one. Do you have the brackets for it and where are they? Mine goes above the bed, on the street side of my '66 Caravel.

Hi Bob,

Our '65 Caravel has circular brackets with slots on each side of the front gaucho and then lower by the front window there are some brackets that look like something would hook on them.
The previous owner said there used to be a hammock there but it is long gone. It's looking like they're hard to come by. A previous thread had some good pics and ideas for adapting. After we do some other restoration, I think I'll pursue the hammock idea for the grandkids.

Hi Victoria,
That sounds exactly like what I have with the exception that my brackets ar on the street side wall over the bed/couch and the circular things are in the ceiling just out from the overhead cabinets. I have my hammock but we haven't used it for anything but storage so far. I had been wondering if it coule be installed across the front. It looks like you answered my question. Thanks! Now how to figure out how to move them... I have lots of other stuff to do before that becomes a priority like replace the plumbing, stove gas lines, refridg, toilet, etc. At this point it looks like it will make the list sometime in '07
Enjoy your fixing, I am.
