Sharing a few pictures as I go along on my 65 Caravel that I "saved" from the deep woods of a Georgia deer camp. Having a ball doing this project. It will not be all original but it sure will be usable. All the copper was cut out of this baby and the appliances were shot. I am converting it to all electric except for the stove and the lantern on the wall (found a replacement).
BTW I am aware that a few of my pictures are of a 66 Caravel not the 65 that I have now. I have not figured out how to edit or remove pictures from this site.
I brought the 66 back from Canada after 2 years of convincing the guy to sell it to me. I made the choice to renovate the 65 versus Restore the 66. The 66 was perfect for a proper restoration so I sold it to a guy who will do it right.
Hi there! Lovely trailer, that Caravel! It looks very comfy inside.
To edit photos in the Gallery, simply open an image, and in the blue bar directly over the image, you will see on the far right side, and item called "Image Tools".
Click on that then click on Edit Image and I think you'll then see buttons for what you want to do.
Aage, Thanks for the coaching. Easy as it can be once ya look in the right place. I will post finished upholstery pictures asap. The job will be started this week. Time to start the floors too. I am going with a 5/16 Brazilian Mesquite Hardwood from Lumber Liquidators. Beautiful!!!
The diamond cut floor was the only solution I could think of to reinforce the floor from when the person who ravaged this camper literally tore the toilet out of the base damaging the surrounding surface. I did some glass work to fill the hole but it looked bumpy and bad. Cover it up and distribute the weight was my solution.
