65 Caravel missing black tank cap and hose connector

Our 65 Caravel doesnt have any cap on the sewer drain outlet pipe. Can someone steer me towards a replacement as well as what I need as far as a hose connector. Looking to purchase a blueboy and need some way to connect to it.

Not quite following what you're trying to describe. Are you saying the sewer outlet is a plain pipe with no sewer connect flange fixed to it? If so, what is the diameter? If it has a flange, please describe it.

Your sewer connections are thetford unless someone has changed them. The pipe would be white, while more modern pipes would be black and they are valterra. The two sizes are close but not interchangeable.

You could put an adapter on the pipe to convert thetford to valterra and then finding sewer components would be much easier.

It is indeed white. So I will look for a Valterra cap and connector.

Thanks

You need a end cap....I would get the one with hose connection in
the center, very easy purchase.

If you buy the Thetford to Valterra adaptor. Buy at least 2. The ears break of very easily.
I would recommend installing it with some sealant like Lexell. Then put a couple of pop rivets thru the flange to prevent movement while you are connecting the waste hose.

tgtwinkie's advise is the convention and correct.

This might work for you…

You can reconfigure the Thetford ears to accept Valterra hooks.

detailed here...

https://www.airforums.com/forums/f48...re-159949.html

Ten minutes on your back with a saw and file =

No need for adapter, spares, rivets, screws, glue. There’s not much room under a Caravel. Another couple inches of clearance aids discharge kinetics

I did this, works great, no leaks, and I can configure everything with Valterra
