Where to buy?

I'm in Wyoming and the nearest dealer to me is in Salt Lake. So, I don't really care where the dealer is. Where do you recommend that I place an order? Do you know how much they require down and what the terms are?

If possible, order/buy from the dealer that you will be expecting to take care of your service needs later.

Airstream of Utah is opening a new Airstream dealership just south of you in Etna next summer.

I saw that but I'll need it before then. I'm sure I'll end up doing the service work myself because unless it is a very expensive repair, it's just not worth my time to drive days for a repair. This has been my experience with trailers. It's the downside of living away from big cities.

Hi

Well, if distance really doesn't matter, Colonial in NJ is a pretty good option.

In addition to Colonial I would also suggest Woodland Airstream in Michigan. There are other dealers suggested if you search the forums. Lots of personal experiences, including dealers to avoid.

Hi

Because I and many others on the forum have bought Airstreams from them. Based on going through *many* threads about issues with this or that dealer, they are at the bottom of the "complaint" list and right at the top of the "did good for me" list.

Indeed if price is the only criteria you might find a better deal. There is a *lot* of work done by the dealer between factory delivery and customer delivery. Folks have spent years trying to straighten out issues that should have been fixed pre-delivery.

You may be ok with doing this and that. Swapping out aluminum skin panels or stripping the trailer down to the frame to fix a weld is not what most of us think of in terms of DIY fixes.

Colonial Airstream in New Jersey. I drove from Tennessee to get mine, and while there, another customer came in from Texas. There is a reason why they are considered the best.

Indeed. I'd have to take that to a dealer.
